Is Going To Be
An Awesome Year
So Come And
Ride The Waive
The Youth Ministry has been important over the years.  The Luther League was officially recognized by Lutheran Brotherhood on 14 November 1968 and since that time has undergone several transitions , from Luther League to BOB to the New Wave as it is now known.  The names may have changed but the intent to provide our youth with a solid Christian environment has remained the same.  In the beginning we had lay volunteers who worked with the middle and high school folks and through their efforts the numbers grew.  There were Jim and Opal Kough, Jim and Becky Johnson, Don and Greta Rinerson, Wendell & Joyce Thomas.   After a time it became apparent that we needed paid staff take on the challenge.
The salaried youth directors include Tom Mouchet, Ken Miller, Cheryl Chase, Ron Fullmer, Mike McConnell and Karie Hokanson.

During the summers of 1975 through 1979 many of our youth joined the Lutheran Youth Alive (LYA) teams and served in churches all over California.  There were also those wonderful LYA Rallies/conventions!
